What began as peaceful protests in the English speaking region of Cameroon, with a call for equal rights, has become a nightmare. Lukong Isidore, the founder of Heart of Mary Ministries, states;

"The socio-political crisis in the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon (North West and South West) degenerated such that by December 2018, all the schools in our area of operation had completely closed down. Many families were displaced, several homes were burnt down and some teachers, parents and children were kidnapped and tortured (sometimes for daring to go to school)."
